Summer afternoons on dry open ground call for a brim with some backbone. We weave this classic western shape from light paper straw blended with polyester so it stays airy over the crown. An inner hook and loop strap dials in the fit, and the braided band stays put.

Shaped paper straw

Chin cord for wind

Open fields and windy piers can lift a wide hat quickly. We added a slender cord you can draw snug beneath the chin so you keep both hands free for the reins or the dog leash.

Custom inner band
