The cookie shelf
The shortest cookie page you will read today
We set none of our own. That is the whole page, but the detail underneath explains why there is no banner asking you to agree to anything.
We set none
No analytics tag, no advertising pixel, no preference cookie, nothing stored in your browser between visits. The answers you give our sun or snow page are forgotten the moment you close the tab, by design rather than by oversight.
Which is why there is no banner
A consent box with nothing behind it is theatre, and there is a lot of it about. We would rather have a page you can read in a minute than a pop-up you have to dismiss on every visit to agree to something that is not happening.
What our host may set
The service that serves these pages can set a short-lived technical cookie to keep the site up: bot filtering, load balancing, that kind of work. It carries no profile and is no use to anybody for advertising.
After you leave, it is a different story
Large retailers set cookies the moment you arrive, including ones that record which site you came from. Our retail partner is no exception. That happens on their shelf under their policy, and their cookie notice is the document that covers it.
Clearing them
Anything a site has left in your browser can be cleared from your browser settings, and blocking cookies outright costs you nothing here. Our pages read exactly the same with them switched off.
