What we wove into this one

Open water offers no natural shadows when noon settles in. We stitched this hat from light nylon with a generous brim all around and added a drape that falls over your neck. The dark charcoal fabric dulls harsh glare across the lake, keeping your head cool through long hours outside.

Wide brim and neck drape

A broad brim keeps overhead glare out of your eyes while the soft cloth flap covers the back of your collar. You get full shade across your face, ears, and neck without feeling weighed down.

Nylon woven for moving air

Light nylon cloth sheds water splashes and lets breezes pass through so heat does not collect under the crown. An inner band catches sweat along your brow as the afternoon warms up.

Chin cord and back toggle

A drawstring cord cinches under your chin when wind picks up off the coast. An adjuster at the back of the crown lets you snug the fit to your head before you hike.

Rolls flat for your pack
