In our words
What we wove into this one
Frost on the windshield calls for a hat that stays put and stops the cold in its tracks. We knit this skull cap from soft acrylic yarn and lined the inside with plush fleece. It pulls down snug over the ears without scratching, dyed in a deep navy like dark winter water.
Plush fleece interior
A stiff breeze can push right through an open knit. We lined the entire crown with soft fleece so the chill stays outside while your head stays warm on early walks.
Acrylic ribbed yarn
We chose a soft-spun acrylic yarn for the outer layer. It holds its deep navy color through sleet and snow, staying gentle against the forehead without any scratchy wool prickle.
Deep cuff stretch
The ribbed band expands easily to fit and pulls low over cold ears. When you move, the knit holds its shape and keeps its grip instead of riding up toward the crown.
Caring for the knit
Wash this piece by hand in a basin of cool water with mild soap. Press out the excess moisture in a clean towel and lay it flat to dry before your next snowy morning.
