Wide brim girls bucket

Summer light bounces hard off the sidewalk and the sand. We cut this hat from soft, breathable cotton and gave it a generous all-around brim to cast deep shade over eyes and cheeks. Both the crown and the chin tie adjust to keep it settled on breezy playground afternoons.

Wide shade brim

The brim circles the crown with plenty of depth to hold off direct midday light. It stays up out of the eyes while keeping the neck and forehead shaded.

Soft cotton weave

We chose plain cotton for its cool feel in high heat. It breathes easily during warm stroller walks and lets air move through so heads do not overheat.

Drawstring and chin tie

A wind off the lake can lift a light hat in a second. We added a soft under-chin tie and an adjustable crown cord so the fit stays snug through sudden gusts.

Pack it down

The cloth folds flat into a diaper bag pocket and shakes right back into shape. When sand or damp grass gets on it, wash it by hand in cold water.
