Quick dry swim hat

Splashing at the water edge calls for a hat that sheds spray and dries before the car ride home. We shaped this one from lightweight nylon with a broad brim and neck flap to keep bright afternoon glare off little eyes and necks. The soft pink and white tones sit bright on the beach blanket.

Brim and neck flap

A wide front brim keeps the glare off their face, while the long back flap drops over the neck to throw shade across the shoulders. The light edge holds its shape without weighing down small heads.

Quick drying nylon

Wet hair and ocean spray dry fast in the warm air. The woven nylon fabric stays light when soaked, shaking out drops easily and drying over the stroller handle between dips.

Drawstring and chin cord

Wind off the water can snatch a loose hat in seconds. We added an adjustable back cord to fit snug around the crown, plus a soft chin tie that keeps the piece in place when little hands tug.

Rinse and machine wash

Sand and pool water wash out without fuss. Toss it in the laundry machine with the day towels, then let it dry flat so it is ready for the next morning by the water.
